Dorothy Mae Hopkins

	Dorothy Mae Hopkins, 85, of DuQuoin, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2001 at Marshall Browning Hospital.
	Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of DuQuoin and a member of the DuQuoin VFW Auxiliary.
	She was born March 21, 1916 at Chaffee, Mo., the daughter of John and Stella (Shepard) Bishop.  She married George Hopkins on January 10, 1943 at Perryville, Mo. and he survives.
	She is survived by her husband of DuQuoin; daughter, Janet Hopkins of DuQuoin; son, John Hopkins of DuQuoin and five grandchildren, Debbie Hopkins, James Hopkins, Christopher Hopkins, Amy Hopkins and Michael Hopkins.
	 She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Virgil Bishop and sister, Lola Bishop.
	Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 5 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin.
	Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society.
